How did Tim Broekema and Jon Waterhouse make 8 Soundslides audio slideshows in 4 days at Bonnaroo?

Last June, photographer Tim Broekema and writer Jon Waterhouse spent four explosive days at Bonnaroo getting photos and sound recordings to make audio slideshows telling insider stories. Neal Cohen of Superfly Presents had asked Soundslides to partner with Bonnaroo. He believed audio slideshows would tell the best Bonnaroo  stories because they can be very expressive and match the Bonnaroo vibe. Also, Soundslides is super easy and quick, making them cost efficient to produce and get online.

Ram Wows Audience with Farmer Ad That’s an Audio Slideshow

As a kid, whenever I’d visit my Great Aunt Bet in Jackson, Wyo., at about noon every day we’d stop everything and listen to the Paul Harvey radio show. I was pretty young, and didn’t always understand his messages, but I did love the brash energy of his voice. So I wasn’t surprised last month to hear Harvey’s voice narrating the Ram Trucks Farmer ad during the Super Bowl. What I was surprised (and excited) about is how the ad agency used the audio slideshow to deliver its message.

Public Relations and Audio Slideshow Software

I recently came across an interesting Soundslides project posted on the Washington State University website.

This is a great example of how an image slideshow with captions and some audio can be a powerful public relations tool.

We are seeing more and more public relations professionals show interest in using Soundslides to tell a story or get across a message that would otherwise be very difficult to do with text alone.
