We’re off! The Soundslides audio slideshow team skids into Bonnaroo

Producer Jon Waterhouse is on the spot as fans pour into Bonnaroo Thursday when the “Centeroo” gates open.

Fans blast in; audio slideshow team gets hopping

Our photographer and writer were slammed into the high frenzy of Bonnaroo when the gates opened and thousands of fans entered the festival grounds near Manchester, Tennessee today. Producer Jon Waterhouse sent this comment to us when he came up for air:

No matter how grandiose or Technicolor my preconceived notions of Bonnaroo could’ve been, nothing would’ve prepared me for my first step onto this sprawling chunk of Manchester real estate. Overwhelming is the obvious first description, but I don’t think the proper adjectives exist within any copy of Webster’s I’ve ever read. They said that for four days it’s the fifth largest city in Tennessee. And like any great city, there’s so much to discover.”

Ah…adjectives. We love them! Here are some we’ve seen elsewhere on the web: rockin’, Bonnamazing, soulful, partyocity, awesome, sweet, rad, mind-blowing, crazy freak-out time, blissful, renewing, joyful, helluva happy time.

Good luck, Tim and Jon! Can’t wait to see your audio slideshows.

This “What is Bonnaroo?” video tells almost all

Last year, Bonnaroo produced some fun videos about the four-day event. This year, they’re hoping audio slideshows will add another unique artsy tone to the batch of multimedia stories told.

When surfing for Bonnaroo multimedia, we found this video made by Michael Steinberg last year that we really like. Thought you’d dig it, too.
